Therapeutic Modalities

  • Hakomi Therapy

A mindfulness-based, body-centered approach aimed at bringing unconscious patterns into awareness so they can be understood updated. It involves experiential techniques to uncover core material and beliefs formed early in life.

  • Internal Family Systems

IFS is an experiential model that views the mind as made up of distinct metaphorical “parts”. Rather than viewing these parts as symptoms to overcome, IFS views the emotional and behavioral patterns as protective responses we developed in the context of earlier life experiences. At the center of the system is the “Self”: a calm, and compassionate core state that supports insight, healing, and integration. IFS aims to foster greater self-awareness and internal coherence by helping individuals relate to themselves with more clarity and compassion.

  • Somatic and Attachment-Focused (SAFE) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR focuses on reprocessing traumatic memories to make them less distressing and more adaptively integrated. SAFE EMDR builds on standard EMDR by incorporating principles from attachment theory and somatic therapy. There is an emphasis on relational safety, and careful preparation before processing traumatic material. It adapted to support those who have experienced developmental or complex trauma, where pacing and stabilization are especially important.

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy

ART aims to treat memories, images, and sensations related to event-based traumatic experiences using voluntary image replacement and bilateral stimulation.
